A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Jana. I am married to Rich and we have seven children (five of which still live at home and are pictured with us above), and ten grandchildren. Translation: we have many beautiful portrait subjects to capture and we take full advantage of that! I have loved photography ever since I can remember, and once I started having children, my love for photography grew into an obsession. My family lives with the local paparazzi, and they have patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) put up with my love for them and desire to capture the many precious moments of their lives. I became serious about this hobby when I was at a wedding several years ago, and the photographer failed to show up. The only cameras available were phone cameras, (prior to smartphones). I had a little point and shoot Nikon Cool Pix in my purse, so I offered to take some photos for them, and wound up capturing all the details, the many portraits, and the entire event. They loved those photos even though they weren't the best quality, and they encouraged me to take photography seriously and start a business. Since then, I have upgraded my camera, added much more gear to my collection, done many portrait sessions, more weddings, events, family reunions, maternity sessions, labor and delivery portraits, newborn portraits, etc. My husband, Rich, and I work as a team, and we really enjoy creating beauty and documenting the important and special events in the lives of our clients. He loves all things technical, and I love the creative side of the business, so he does the lighting and back up shooting. I do the rest. Working together is a dream for us. Our mission is to create and provide beautiful keepsakes and to make each session a positive experience through our interactions with each one of our clients. We truly love people, and find great joy in spending time with them, getting to know them, and providing them with a fun way to document the moments that are special to them.
